My crochet hooks & where I get them from
Share
I use Furls crochet hooks almost exclusively. I mainly use Furls Streamline Resin hooks as I like how easily they glide through the yarn (plus they come in all sorts of pretty colours and I'm a bit of a sucker for sparkly things!)
However, I will say that they can be brittle and I have had a good few (of the smaller sizes) snap. Furls have replaced these though, so I'm not too worried about it and it hasn't stopped me from wanting to use them. I've also got some Furls Streamline Wood hooks and whilst these are more hardy, I don't find they glide as smoothly through the stitches (and they're just not as pretty!)
Now, a lot of you will hate me for saying this (and I hope I'm not tempting fate), but even if I spend 8 hours a day crocheting (which I often do), I don't suffer any wrist or hand pain. I'm not sure if this is down to my technique and the way I hold my hook & yarn, or whether it is down to the fact that I use Furls streamline hooks.... whatever the case, I absolutely love these hooks!
I get all my hooks from Furls online directly (and yes, unfortunately shipping to the UK costs a lot, but there we go!)
